The Hatfield Township Civil Service Commission is charged with the responsibility of administering the Hatfield Township Civil Service Rules and Regulations. This group is an independent and impartial body that has been established to oversee hiring, retaining, and promoting members of the Hatfield Township Police Department pursuant to the principle of selection according to merit.

The Commission is comprised of three members and two alternate members. The Hatfield Township Board of Commissioners appoints members of the Civil Service Commission to six-year terms.
